The Floor is Lava
The Floor is Lava explores the politics of play and the ways it shapes our imagination. By blurring the boundary between playground and battleground, the project reflects on increasing militarisation and how violence is embedded in everyday life through toys, games, media, and popular culture. Using familiar and seemingly harmless scenarios as a point of entry into complex global conflicts, it invites audiences to question how violence is normalised, what futures we are preparing younger generations for, and how we might imagine alternatives without reproducing militarised ways of thinking.
